Time to look back on the year 2010 and all the stuff I was blessed to be able to do: Lotusphere 2009 was pretty big: 3 speaking sessions, 1 Lotus Award, and being part of the first Lotusphere blogger program. Man, did I blog a lot that week :-) I spent 3+ weeks in Cambridge, MA to work on the "Self Assessment and Migration Guide for IBM Lotus Domino Document Manager" Red book. That was a great experience. I spent my off time in Rhode Island, Maine, and Boston I became very involved in the relaunch of OpenNTF.org as a member of the Steering Committee and the IP Working Group Chairman. I made lots of enemies (those relationships have mostly been rebuilt) and spearheaded the dual license and catalog approach to find the best way to meet the entire communities goals for OpenNTF.org. I have also watched the usage of the site take off - and am very proud to be one person part of the larger team. I spoke at Lotus Developer 2009 in Boston, IamLUG in St. Louis, MWLUG in Chicago, UKLUG in E

9 Years
December 18 2009Today marks my 9 year anniversary with PSC. In 2000, when Syngeristics was becoming a sinking ship (Steve Osborne left in June, Henry in late summer, Rocky in October), I went looking for a short term job before I knew what I wanted to do next. 9 years later, I guess I can take the "short term" label off my career here :-) Just wanted to say thanks to Andrew, Bruce, Jim, and Alex for years of support; John, RJ, Rick, and Chris M for recent support and all of the other folks at PSC that have made the journey to this point - and putting me on the path for the journey to continue and be very successful. I look forward to the next 9 or more years. As my career transitions into a new direction, I also want to thank the consultants I have worked with recently: Andy, Tim, John B, Luis, Jimmy, Steve, Ken, Chandru and special thanks to Sri and Eric for doing amazing work with clients we share. Thanks to all of you.
5 Years Gone- RIP Darrell Abbott
December 8 2009It has been 5 years since the terrible murder of Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott, the guitar player of Pantera and Damageplan. One of the most innovative guitarist in the metal world, his talent and music is missed. In honor of Dime, crank some Pantera today. LOUD.
PSC Hosted Blogs Maintenance - This Weekend
December 4 2009Due to growth at PSC, we are changing a bunch of infrastructure items over the weekend. One of the things that is changing is our external IP ranges. That means every blog we host will need to update their DNS to point to the new IP addresses. This is going to start Saturday morning at 9 am. The goal is to have everything working in about 90 minutes, but we all know how this kind of change over goes. Plus all the DNS' that will need to refresh. So any of the our hosted blogs may be unavailable until sometime Sunday.
