After many weeks of work, the first boss in Naxxaramas' Abomination Wing Patchwerk is dead. He has over 2.4 million hit points and is just a tank. He requires 7 minutes of amazing, no mistake healing and damage. Last night, we finally got him down. Once we celebrated, we took down the next boss in that wing as well, Grobbulus. Nice work Lunaris!

One of the many issues that came up in Ed's blog entry that spawned all of this discussion was the templates that are available with Sharepoint. I believe there has been a bunch of miscommunication about these. I hope to clear that up. You can find these templates, or "Applications" as Microsoft call them, at the Sharepoint Applications page. I count 33 of them, from basic stuff such as Discussion and Document Library to fancy stuff such as Help Desk and New Product Development. After downloading a couple and reading the license agreement(s), I found the following: These samples are not including in the Sharepoint software package. You have to go download them yourself They are not supported as part of the Sharepoint software package. The way I read the license is that they are not supported at all No promise of updating or supporting these to work with new versions of Sharepoint (both point release and major release) No internationalization of these samples ... Today I participate in my good friend's Dave and Erica's wedding. It pleases me to no end to see them getting married and so happy. Dave is one of the best guys around and Erica is perfect for him. Congratulations to both of you! On the flip side, another couple I am close with our splitting apart. It is very hard for me to watch on the sidelines. I just hope they both come out of this ready to find happiness in the future. A happy day and a sad day at the same time.

Last night I had the honor to attend an event thrown for the top donors to the University of Illinois at Champaign Athletic Foundation. It was at a house in Winnetka (and I say house liberally ... it was a large house on the lake with an amazing back yard and pool) and over 100 people were there. The big names of U of I sports were there ... Ron Guenther, Ron Zook, and Bruce Weber. They also brought many current and past student athletes. It was a great event to listen to people talk with pride about the Fighting Illini. I am very proud of Sarah, who is the reason I got to attend. Since graduating law school, she has been active in supporting the law school and the Athletics program. She was the first person to join the law school's Cribbet Society as a student This let her become part of the school's President Council. She has also supported the athletic program and has reserved seats in the new football stadium. I am just lucky to be able to join her and attend the games. I neve

One of the things that I love about being part of the Notes/Domino community is the support we give each other. Yes, we can be very hard on each other, but when support is needed ... people are always there. The past couple weeks I have been chatting with lots of people about ideas on how we can support and grow our opportunity. To me, that begins with exposing as many people in the community and those who are not part of it to the resources we have. I was chatting with a couple people, and the idea of a 'window' that we can put on our blogs and web pages came up. Think of Plazes window that Ed has on his page.
