John D. Head aka "Starfish"

I was born in Detroit and lived here twice in my life. From birth until the age of 3 and then 1st thru 4th grades (Sterling Heights and Rochester respectively). But with family here, I am back in the area once a year or more. One of the things about Detroit that I love (and the list is short) is Vernors Ginger Soda. Not Ginger Ale, but Ginger soda. This stuff is the best. You can taste the ginger in it ... almost like a Ginger Beer.

I know you can get Vernors in many supermarkets across the United States now, but it is not the same. And no where else can you get a Boston Cooler and people understand your not talking about a city in Massachusetts.

I even splurged and had a regular ... no diet for me today!
